Each zine is printed in color and hand-stapled, featuring 20 pages of contributions from 18 different authors and artists. Funds from zine sales support the ongoing mutual aid work in Western North Carolina.

The zine edition of "From the Holler to the Sea: Hurricane Helene Survivors Speak Out" was originaly published in the Spring of 2025 from the catalyst web collection, "From the Holler to the Sea" that was published in partnership with Dandelion Scribes at the beginning of the year. 

"From the holler to the sea" is a revolutionary battle cry coined by T & chels from Rednecks Rising that speaks to a sense of widespread solidarity amidst ongoing global polycrisis. From Palestine to the mountains of Appalachia, we recognize our struggles are interconnected as we face the present challenges of climate catastrophe, resource exploitation, imperialism & genocide. 

Through this collection, Helene survivors recount their experiences and create a blueprint of survival for those who will be affected by catastrophe in the weeks, months, and years to come. Their words and images are as harrowing as they are inspiring—when everything we know washes away, we still have strength in community and the hope of building a brighter future. We still have our profound connection to the land and our shared desire to restore balance & harmony to our Earthly home.
